Hi Percy, Thanks for your continued good work! I enjoy the articles you choose. FYI - and perhaps you know this, arc lights are still used for the big spot lights that they point up in the sky. Like the kind that sweep back and forth for Hollywood movie premiers. There is a consumable carbon rod that slowly burns away inside the light. I once made one for a school project using 2 carbon rods from inside D-size batteries. My dad helped me do it, and when we plugged it into the school elec. outlet it freaked everyone out. Probably not the safest school project! I'm bummed that the Ed & Percy plasma class was canceled. I REALLY wanted to meet you! Hope it flies next year! Regards, Mark
