Hello Lightning Tamers!
I'm promoting a lot of different classes, most of which are summer intensives. And coming this Spring I will be adding a plasma class to the Pittsburgh Glass Centers programming. To clarify, this class are for those local to Pittsburgh.
I'm excited to be able to carry on Ed Kirshner's knowledge of using enamel as a solder to create vessels for plasma and as a method for attaching the electrode or tubulation to soda lime glass. Please check out the resources below!
If you have questions or would like to request private lessons in plasma, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.

Spring 2023 | 4-week Class (8 sessions)
Dates: April 6 - 29, 2023
Thursdays: 6:30pm-9:30pm & Saturdays: 4:00pm-7:00pm
Kiln-Fired Glass, Readymade Glass, Coldworking, Plasma
This class requires little to no glass experience.
Using glass solder methods developed by artist and mentor, Ed Kirshner of Aurora Sculpture, this class will serve to help enhance your experience using plasma light in your glass art. You will learn basic coldworking skills to prepare the glass forms for the solder, how to kiln fire them, and of design considerations for dynamic plasma effects, and the use specialized electronics.
Individual projects will be tailored to your skill level, and you are encouraged to explore new avenues.
